From 2005 to 2008, the HU01 chassis will participate continuously in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Winning the ELMS championship in 2005 then scoring the most points in the 2006 championship, HU01 is a benchmark car of this era.
It is now eligible for historic races in Europe and the USA in Aston Martin Masters Endurance Legends, Sebring Classic, Monterrey, Road America and Daytona Classic.
With the eligibility limit for the prestigious Endurance Racing Legends series of Peter Auto and Le Mans Classic set at 2005 for prototypes, HU01 is one of the most modern and competitive prototypes to be able to take the start of these historic races. .
Limited operating costs
The LOLA B05 / 40 is a resolutely modern prototype. Thanks to the extensive use of carbon and modern materials, this LOLA combines high performance and a much higher level of reliability compared to older cars.
The AER P07 engine has established itself during this period as the benchmark engine in LMP2. The sequential gearbox with paddles on the steering wheel and the electronic management protect the engine and the running gear against bad handling.
Being designed for private teams, its design was aimed at limiting maintenance costs.
Highly eligible and very competitive
This LOLA is one of the most recent prototypes eligible in Endurance Racing Legends and Le Mans Classic, the maximum eligibility date being set at 2005 for prototypes. She is also eligible in both Europe and the United States, in the Aston Martin Masters Endurance Legends series.
Benefiting from a very favorable weight / power ratio, 750 kg for 550 horsepower, this LMP2 was conceived and designed by optimizing LMP2 regulations which were not sufficiently restrictive to give pride of place to LMP1. It can therefore seek victory in Endurance Racing Legends and Le Mans Classic.
